Naheige Lewis spent 14 years in Illinois' foster care system. Naheige is a talented young dual education student, concurrently taking classes at his high school as well as at Praire State College. He spent much of his youth in the Illinois foster system and now plans to work through his college years in broadcast either as a technical director in the studio or writing as an adjunct editorial journalist through the school. After graduation he then plans to obtain an internship in a broadcasting studio. His ultimate goal is to be hired in public relations for a publishing firm. Mr. Lewis is active in UCAN - Deirmeler Future LEaders Now Youth Advisory Board, is the Editor and Chief of Bloom-Trail Yearbook, and Adjunct reporter and journalist for the journalism department. He has been winner of UCAN Youth of the Month two times, has been awarded for 3 years participation in the Trail Theatre Troupe, and is a Diermeier Future Leaders Now Institute graduate. Naheige embodies a quiet confidence that is infection to other youth, focuses on the things he can control, and represents himself and his organizations extremely well. Naheige knows where he is going and is brilliantly setting himself up for success.
