Amber is a nineteen year old from East Lansing, Michigan, and entered the system when she was five years old, bouncing between the Florida and Michigan foster care systems. She has been in over twenty placements, ranging everywhere from family homes, to residential and foster homes and everything in between. Eventually, she was adopted at the age of seventeen and has been accepted into a loving and happy family. As of now, she's a junior at Western Michigan University, studying Film and Media Studies. One day, she would love to be an actress or voice actress for animation and video games, and would like to make documentaries about older foster youth in the system throughout the country. Outside of school and advocating, she enjoys watching movies, writing, and reading, as well as going out and trying new things. She is a daughter, an actor, a free spirit..... and a foster child.
