Tax Filing 101: A Guide for Foster Youth Filing Taxes - from JBAY

About this resource

John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) has recently released a webinar to help transition-age young adults file their taxes correctly, free of charge, and access tax credits they're eligible for, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

The EIRC has been expanded, becoming more accessible to transition-age youth. There's the potential to receive a tax return of hundreds or thousands of dollars!

Watch the Webinar recording (or download the slides to read) on JBAY's website here:   https://jbay.org/resources/tax-filing-2022/

John Burton Advocates for Youth (JBAY) is based in California, and its mission is to improve the quality of life for youth who have been in foster care or face homelessness by advocating for better laws and providing trainings and practices to inform policy change.
