About this resource

When placed in their first foster home, it is commonly known that youth who experience foster care often go without appropriate clothes, shoes, coats, and other necessary items. Especially if youth are placed with a relative or kinship families. It can often take state agencies several months to reimburse families for these emergency needed items. Fostering Connections Oklahoma is trying to assist families and youth during those times by providing assistance for youth who are placed in care without their basic need items (clothing, bedding, car seats, hygiene items, etc).

They now have a Mobile Foster Family Resource Center (mFFRC), which was designed to meet the needs of those in rural Tulsa. The mFFRC will have regularly scheduled meeting times and locations available for booking. Foster families can reserve a meeting and register their current needs before the meet day. Additional information will be posted upon launch!
