Program Manager, Rise Above Foundation

 

Brianna is a Program Manager at the Rise Above Foundation serving youth and young adults in the Massachusetts foster care system. Most recently Brianna was one of seven members to co-create the first ever alternative safety service centered around anti-racism and trauma-informed care in Massachusetts. She worked alongside local politicians to create what is now known as the Community Responders for Equity, Safety, and Service (CRESS) and implemented the first ever Department of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Brianna holds a BA in Legal Studies (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) where she was awarded a campus wide Social Justice Award in 2019. She has also been a member of the Massachusetts Children’s League since 2019 working to advance public policy as it affects children and families. Brianna is passionate about foster care reform and the intersectionality of social justice.
