Lived Experience Coordinator, Wisconsin Department of Children and Families

Bregetta has been an advocate, community leader, and change agent for nearly twenty years. A passionate professional, she loves building relationships to support communities, families, and children. As the Lived Experience Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, she works to lift the voices of individuals to ensure their input is included in policies and legislative changes that affect both families and neighborhoods. She is also the founder of Embrace Improve Empower, LLC, which supports organizations with mental health and community engagement efforts.

A graduate of Cardinal Stritch University (BA, Human Service Management) and Alverno College (Master’s in Community Psychology), Bregetta loves learning and sharing knowledge: “Knowledge should be shared and not hoarded.” She enjoys working out, dancing, traveling, collecting crystals, and spending time with family and friends. Bregetta is an alumna of Wisconsin’s Forward 48 leadership development program and a 2013 recipient of the Black Excellence Award from the Milwaukee Times. In 2022, Bregetta was named a Board Member of the YWCA of Southeast Wisconsin.
