System Change Project Coordinator

Pronouns: She, Her, Hers

Breanna grew up in the small town of Damascus, Oregon. After spending 6 years in Michigan, she realized her soul was most at peace when surrounded by the nature of Oregon. Currently, Breanna lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys frequent trips to the Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon coast. When not traveling into nature, Breanna can be found reading a good book, catching up on the latest Marvel related shenanigans, or trying new recipes (feel free to send her recommendations!).

Breanna spent the first part of her career working with youth to improve their mental health in various settings. After awhile, Breanna realized that, as much as she loved working with youth, the system needed to be improved if youth were truly to thrive in our society. This led her to get her Masters of Social Work at Pacific University. During her masters program, Breanna felt her passion for youth in the system be re-ignited. As Breanna neared graduation, she began stalking the FosterClub employment page. Eventually, this stalking paid off and Breanna got to join the System Change team!

Breanna first became interested in Child Welfare policy when she volunteered at a camp that reunites siblings separated by the system. Ever since, she has wanted to help the system improve to better serve those it was created to help. Breanna is most excited to help those with lived experience have their voices heard so they can aid in improving the system.
