Find Your Happiness

What is happiness? Better yet, what makes you happy?

I was in foster care for six years while moving into eleven different homes, my mom passed away, and my Bio-family was unstable.

Am I happy? You're probably thinking "there is no way you're happy".

But on the other hand, I am happy. Why? Well, I'm still alive aren't I? I have many years left to add to my "timeline" and every day, I wake up and I take a deep breath knowing that for the next twenty-four hours, anything can happen. Whether it be bad or good, I know that I am going to try my hardest to smile through it.

My advice for you to find your happiness is; look beyond the problems you are facing, put them into a whole new perspective, and look at them as if they are a pieces to an unfinished puzzle. Like I said, the puzzle is unfinished and that problem is just a tiny piece to it. This puzzle is not just any puzzle though.

This puzzle is you. This puzzle is what makes you who you are, who you want to be, and who you will be in futures time. As you can see, you, yes!

YOU are the deciding factor to how the puzzle (you) turns out. So with that being said, what is happiness? Happiness in my opinion; is the accomplishment of moving on in life, overcoming the trauma, beating down the obstacles life throws at you, and doing it all with a smile. So as I end this, I want all of you to smile and remember this quote:

"Remember even though the outside world might be raining, if you keep on smiling the sun will soon show its face and smile back at you." – Anna Lee
