Yesenia Anaya is a dedicated Communications Manager at a local church in Austin, Texas, where she finds fulfillment in nurturing her relationship with God, herself, and others. Shortly before beginning her current professional role, Yesenia embarked on an exciting journey as a featured participant in the captivating docuseries, "Road Trip Nation," with her episode titled "Wide Open Range." For three weeks, she took part in conducting interviews with influential leaders and trailblazers in Texas, delving into their stories and exploring diverse career paths. The experience left an indelible mark on Yesenia's life, inspiring her in countless ways. It even ignited a deep passion within her and served as a catalyst for her decision to return to school and pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a focus on New Media Broadcasting at Grand Canyon University.

During her free time, Yesenia actively seeks out opportunities to amplify the voices of those often marginalized and unheard in society. Her personal journey, starting with her placement into the Michigan Foster Care System at the age of 12, has profoundly shaped her passion for advocacy. Through her resilience and determination, she experienced a kinship placement and was eventually reunited with her mother.

Yesenia has made a significant impact in the foster care community through her involvement with FosterClub, a renowned organization. She has contributed her talents and dedication in various advocacy opportunities and roles, such as serving as a 2018 All-Star Intern and a 2021 Program Job Coach.

With her unwavering commitment to advocacy, coupled with her ongoing studies in communications, Yesenia is poised to make a lasting difference in the lives of others. Her goal is to use her skills and platform to empower individuals and create positive change, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued.
