Tyler entered the foster care system at the age of 11, shortly after her father was murdered. Tyler had a significant amount of anger that she was unable to process. That led to several placements including group homes, detention centers & psychiatric facilities. After many failed placements, Tyler was finally able to enter into an intensive treatment program where she was able to work though her issues with counseling. Tyler then worked her way to Independent Living, reentered public schools, worked in the community and later graduated from high school. Tyler is currently entering her second year at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, with a declared major in Criminal Justice. She is at a point of happiness and enjoying her college experience. Tyler is a college student, a momma’s girl, a lover of music & shopping… and a Foster youth.
