Tuan Giang was in three different placements during his seven years in the Hawai’i foster care system.
Tuan not only graduated high school, but has also graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics and a certificate in Database Management. He spent seven semesters on the Dean’s List.
Tuan was a member of the Hawai'i Helping Our People Envision Success (HI H.O.P.E.S.) Board and was the president of the East Hawai'i or Hilo Board. In the future, Tuan wants to help young people impacted by foster care to redefine the post-secondary graduation statistics and he also plans to write an autobiography to talk about his life in care.
Tuan is currently working as an engineer on Oahu, Hawaii. Tuan enjoys programming, web development, running, reading, and playing Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube.
