Teshiana is currently a senior student at the University of Pittsburgh, studying Social Work & Criminology scheduled to graduate in December 2021.
She has been involved in the kinship care aspect of foster care since she was 13 years old up until the age she was given release at 19.
During her free time, Teshiana, enjoys reading boxing and painting. She also volunteers as a PeerUp Mentor for FosterClub, and Black Girls Equity Alliance Mentor. She is currently serving as a 2021 FosterClub All-Star Coach, and also Pennsylvania’s pick for the Jim Casey Youth Leadership Institute and Fellowship.
After graduation, Teshiana plans on continuing her advocacy work on a national level, and potentially work with the Children’s Bureau.
