Stevette Blackbear is in college getting her certificate in medical billing and plans to work her way up to being a doctor or nurse anesthetist. Stevette’s level of determination is demonstrated by the fact that she is continuing to pursue higher education despite having to provide for herself. “Stevette is very caring, kind and considerate of others. She welcomes challenges and wants to better her community and give a helping hand where it is needed,” observes one of Stevette’s adult supporters. She has volunteered working with people with disabilities and worked in her community promoting a drug-free lifestyle. Her commitment to bettering herself and areas around her makes her a wonderful asset to her community. The medical field will be lucky to have someone as determined as Stevette to serve others.
