2 years in Idaho’s Foster Care System

Shelli Guyer is 18-years-old and from Idaho. She is currently going into her senior year of high school. She entered foster care at age 15 and remained until she was adopted at 17. Shelli wants to pursue a path of advocacy in continued education and sibling connections. She is excited to have been a member of the Idaho Foster Youth Advisory Board (IFYAB) for the past year. Prior to moving, she was secretary of her schools LGBTQ+ club and participated in poetry club. Shelli has also volunteered in raising money for her church’s youth group.

Shelli wants to attend college to become a high school history teacher. She enjoys painting, drawing, and crafting. Shelli remains excited to do advocacy work and meet new youth as well as establish new connections with FosterClub associates.
