Payton spent 5 years in California's foster care system.
Payton Hensley is currently a Senior at Choices Charter School. Upon completion of her high school education, she will begin college in the fall of 2016. After completing a Bachelor's degree, Payton intends to pursue law school with the long term goal of becoming a district attorney. Payton has been in care for five years which includes placements in foster homes, group homes, receiving homes, and shelters. Although Payton can age out of foster care this year, she intends on being apart of the Extended Foster Care (AB12) program until she is 21 years old. When Payton has free time, she enjoys raising pigs and walking her dog.
