Kylie Keena currently attends University of Wisconsin Whitewater, where she is studying business and psychology. After graduating, Kylie intends to start a non-profit organization to help foster parents acquire a greater understanding of fundamental psychology so they can better support youth transitioning into stable adulthood/independence. She likes to engage in many sports including basketball, soccer, and hockey. In her free time, she likes learning, reading, painting, playing piano and practicing self-care. Presently, Kylie is a part of her local and state Youth Advisory Board. She uses her foster care experience to expand foster care awareness and advocate for youth voices currently in the system. Kylie entered foster care at age 15 and had three different placements up until she aged-out at 18 years old. Kylie’s most interesting fact is she is part Aztec Native-American. She hopes to make the most of her life by constantly applying what she is learning, and always keeping an open mind.
