Katarina Sayally is a mother, writer, and community organizer. In 2019, she graduated with a Masters in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and had a baby the same week. As a single mother she relies heavily on love, community, and ancestral knowledge in her familial healing journey. After more than ten years of child welfare policy advocacy work, she has shifted her focus to empowering the next generation of systems-impacted leaders through youth organizing. Katarina remains dedicated to stability, dreams, and freedom for system involved youth-and their children. She is a proud supporter of the Sister Warriors Freedom Coalition and sits on the Advisory Board for Foster Youth Museum.
