Kala Beasley, 19, currently in Minnesota’s foster care system.
Kala has experienced a foster home and kinship home, which she is still currently in.
At Kala vacation Bible school, she led a group of children for two weeks. Through a program at her school, she volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. Kala helped package Christmas boxes for those in need through her school and church. She routinly donates clothes and shoes to a church community in Cape Town, South Africa.
In her free time, Kala enjoys listening to audio books, and reading them. She also enjoys listening to music and watching musicals and plays. Kala also like to spend time with her life coach through the YMCA.
Kala hopes to attend college after graduating from high school. She plans to keep a high academic standing so she can prepare herself for grad school. She is planning to extend her educational desires to receive her Masters in nursing. Kala aspires to become a nurse and have a career in the medical field.
