Kailah Williams, 21, Florida’s Child Welfare system.
Kailah experienced moving from group home to group home. This took a lot of time to get used to but she is grateful for the experience as it helped her understand different personality types and build relationships with the girls from all different backgrounds ethnicities and life experiences including the staff.
In Kailah’s free time, she enjoys writing poetry which sometimes turns into a rap or song. She also enjoys sketching and drawing. Both hobbies help her relieve stress and find some peace by hoping one day her creations can inspire another to see that there is a silver lining in the pain and misery.
Kailah is passionate about education and is currently working towards higher education. One day she hopes to be in a career to promote herself and inspire others.
