Emily Tao is a 21 year old foster-care alumni. She was in the system for four years and has been in four different placements. She is currently attending the University of North Florida for social work and public health. FosterClub has given her the opportunity to advocate for other kids in the foster-care system and she hopes to return to Florida with a focused mindset to get more involved in her state. In her free time, she likes to read, watch movies and loves everything that has to do with nature. She hopes to one day make a difference by influencing youth and changing the system so that it will be more beneficial and efficient. Emily is a writer, an artist, a singer… and a foster kid.
