Dan has shared his personal foster care experience with members of Congress, with thousands of young people across the nation, and to raise public awareness through TIME magazine. He served as an intern, and subsequently as staff, with FosterClub, the national network for young people in foster care.

He holds an MSEd from Elmira College and a MSW from the University of Pennsylvania’s (Upenn) School of Social Policy & Practice (SP2). Dan currently works with Philadelphia’s Department of Human Service’s Division of Performance Management and Technology (PMT) as a Senior Data Integration Manager where he advances new data and technology tools that aim to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families.

Dan lives in Philadelphia, PA with his wife, Olga, and two children, Lily and Emmett.
