Daisy Henson spent 10 years in Oklahoma's foster care system.

Daisy Henson knows the value of an interactive and cooperative community, a place where the young see a potential for enrichment and then work hard towards it. During her time at Relations Group Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she volunteered at the local nursing home acting as an M.C. of entertainment for the elderly. Her outspoken and motivated demeanor lead to her becoming a spokesperson for foster children during CASA campaigns and recruiting trips. Locally, she has served as a spokesperson in support of McIntosh County CASA program.

Daisy has been in foster care for 10 years and is currently in kinship placement. Even at home she is helping those who are helping her by providing much needed time babysitting her younger foster siblings. She understands that sometimes the best way to improve your own life is to improve someone else’s. Outside of her work at home, she also holds a part time job when she is not tending to her academic demands. She excels in school, and her honors and accolades are too lengthy to be listed here.

After she graduates high school, Daisy has plans for being the first in her family to graduate college. Her self-motivated style has given her entrepreneurial inclinations and she hopes to one day start her own fashion salon. Daisy is an example for any upstanding young citizen who wishes to discover the satisfaction of not only maintaining, but improving the system in which she was raised.
