Christella was an immigrant from Haiti who was placed into foster care at the age of 13. She has worked to become a permanent citizen and continues to work toward her goals by attending college in pursuit of her Associate’s Degree. Through her local Youth Advisory Council, Christella has had the opportunity to speak to interested parties at the Division of Family Services and Family Court judges. She has been President of her Youth Advisory Council and participated in volunteer activities such as Habitat for Humanity and Adopt a Highway. Christella also volunteers at her church.
