Aya currently attends Michigan State University as a sophomore. She is currently majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology and minoring in philosophy of law as well as law, justice, and public policy. Always having had a passion for law, she plans on becoming a criminal prosecutor.  

 

In her free time, she enjoys being with friends, playing with her cat, and sleeping. Currently, she is a part of her state’s youth advisory board, MYOI, and much more. She entered foster care at 14 and has been in a total of 3 placements--1 kinship and 2 foster homes. After turning 18, she chose to stay in voluntary care. She uses her experience to advocate for youth in care and to give back.
