Allyssa 18, Tennessee’s Foster Care System
Allyssa's time in care was rocky, with multiple placements in kinship care and congregate care. Alyssa is now adopted and is happy to have found permanence.
She is beyond excited to serve on her state youth board and enjoys volunteering at her community Humane Society and at her church. She has also been recognized as a National Business Honor Society. Her desire is to help others just like she has been helped along the way.
Allyssa is determined to “rise above the obstacles I have faced and prove those bad situations don’t prevent success”, and she sees herself going very far in the future. She plans to study international marketing so that she can see the world as she builds her career.
