Alicia Ortiz was placed in foster care with her brother and sister at the age of 10 and was placed in 17 different foster homes before she found permanency with her foster mothers. She has been featured in Teen People’s Magazine for her work with LGBTQ youth and the HIV community. Alicia wants to make huge changes in the issues of same sex foster parents and LGBTQ foster youth.
